Company Development since 1960

1960 - Company Foundation

The workshop is 12 square meters when Günter Leonhardt founds the engraving business on April 1, 1960.
He quickly makes a name for himself as a manufacturer of intricate and precise engravings.

1963 - Production Area Expansion

After only three years, the first expansion of the production area to 45 square meters is necessary.
In 1965, the first injection mold is manufactured.

1970 - Injection Mold for High-Performance Ceramics

The construction of the new workshop marks a new era for our company. Nine employees now work in 335 square meters. For the first time, we produce an injection mold for high-performance ceramics.

1970s - Engraving, Turning, Drilling, Milling

What seems museum-like today was state-of-the-art in the 1970s. Whether engraving, turning, drilling, milling – copy milling experienced its heyday at that time – then as now, we have a diverse machine park.

1987 - First CNC-Controlled Milling Machine

The first CNC-controlled machine is installed:
It is a milling machine with 4-axis technology.

1992 - Management Change

Günter Leonhardt entrusts the company's responsibility to his son Wolfgang.

1996 - DIN ISO 9001 Certification

For the first time, our company is certified according to DIN ISO 9001.

2003 - 3D Laser Technology

As one of the first companies in Germany, we use the new 3D laser technology and can now remove material without a milling cutter.

2005 - Ultrasonic System

The first ultrasonic system is acquired. The occasion is the order to produce the binding for the "Gold Bible" of Weltbild publishing house. A plaster model made according to the design is digitized and then reproduced using a specially developed technology, in which 250-gram and 0.3-millimeter thick brass plates are embossed.

2011 - Leroxid & DIMACER

Founding of Leroxid as a 100% subsidiary for the further development of conductive high-performance ceramics.
